At CES 2014 in January, Samsung introduced four new high-end Android tablets. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 was one of them, boasting about a 12.-inch Super Clear LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution and a pixel density of 247 ppi.

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is available with either 32 or 64 GB of internal storage and has support for microSD cards up to 64 GB. The processing tasks are handled by an octo-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa chipset, helped by 3 GB of RAM. It also integrates an 8 MP primary cam, a 2 MP secondary cam, and has a 9,500 mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 packs WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, IR blaster, microUSB 3.0, and LTE for certain models. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box with Magazine UX on top of it and it also features an S Pen stylus.

On Amazon the 32 GB Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 has a price of $649. For the 64 GB model you’ll have to pay $747.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is like a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 minus the S Pen. It has the same 12.2-inch Super Clear LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution, the same octo-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa chipset, 3 GB of RAM, the same 8 MP primary cam, and the same 32/64 GB microSD-expandable storage options.

Connectivity-wise the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 arrives with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, infra red, microUSB 3.0, and certain models are compatible with LTE networks.

Also launched at CES 2014 in January, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is pretty similar to the Note Pro 12.2 and the Tab Pro 12.2. Of course it brings a slightly smaller 10.1-inch display, but it packs the same resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a higher pixel density of 299 ppi.

Under the hood you’ll find the same octo-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 OCta 5420 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of native storage, microSD slot (up to 64 GB supported), WiFi, NFC, IR blaster, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0. The device arrives with a 10.1-inch TFT screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, it has 16 GB of native storage, supports expansion up to 64 GB via microSD, and has 1.5 GB RAM for your multitasking needs.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 packs a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor of unknown provenience, a 3.15 MP camera on the back, 1.3 MP user-facing camera, it runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and it brings connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0.

Amazon sells the White Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 at $343. Surprisingly, the Black variant is a bit more expensive, having a price tag of #349.

Sony took the wraps off the Xperia Z2 Tablet back in February at MWC 2014 and it’s the most powerful tablet created by the Japanese company yet.

Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet leaves the factory gates pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat which runs on a 10.1-inch TFT screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution. The slate is only 6.4 mm thin and the clumsy customers will definitely appreciate it’s both dust and water resistant.

Asus Transformer Pad TF701T has a 10.1-inch Super IPS + LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution, features 2 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of native storage, and support for microSD cards up to 64 GB.

The tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean while the processing tasks are handled by a quad-core 1.9 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 T40X processor. There’s a 5 MP shooter on the back, a 1.2 MP camera in the front and a non-removable Li-Po battery (31 Wh) underneath its case. In terms of connectivity you’ll get WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and microUBS 2.0.

Back in October 2012 Amazon introduced the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. As you have probably guessed, the tablet packs an 8.9-inch display. What you didn’t know was the screen is build using IPS LCD technology and has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 features 16/32/64 GB storage, 1 GB RAM, 1.3 MP camera, and a dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4470 processor. The connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0.

Unlike other tablets in the list, Kindle Fire HD runs a customized version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.On Amazo, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 has a starting price of $229 for the 16 GB WiFi-only model, while the most expensive variant (64 GB WiFi+LTE) costs $499.

Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 technical specs list also include LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and microUSB 2.0, an 8 MP camera with LED flash, and a front-facing shooter with 720p video recording capabilities.

Amazon is selling the 16 GB WFi-only model of their latest 8.9-inch tablet at $379. In case you want the 64 GB model with WiFi + LTE you’ll have to pay as high as $579.

The world’s biggest online retailer is selling the Black Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 at $349. As expected, the White model has the same price tag.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 was developed as a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. It measures 210 x 124 x 8 mm and has a weight of 320 grams while sporting an 8-inch TFT screen with 800 x 1280 resolution, 3.15 MP primary cam, 1.3 MP secondary cam, 16 GB storage, microSD card slot, and 1.5 GB RAM.
